H&A Raise £40,000 for our two wonderful charities!

On the 13th of August we celebrated the 25th Anniversary of H&A! We decided the best way to mark this occasion was to embark upon a fundraising journey over the summer months to help raise much needed funds for two wonderful charities. The first charity we chose was Cancer Fund for Children. This fabulous organisation help so many children and their families at an extremely difficult time in their lives. The South Derry Down’s Syndrome Group, our second charity, was quite an easy one for us to choose. We see first hand in our own family, the tremendous help and support given by this group to families in our local community.
 
Our first event was a coffee morning held in our three offices. We were blown away by the generosity of our staff on this morning, and even had a few locals call in to show their support. This was followed by a very successful family fun day in An Rath Dubh. The fine weather, a great location and a fabulous turn out, made this a day to remember. We were completely overwhelmed by the incredible donations given at the gate, and the many local businesses who donated to our raffle! This was topped off with even more neighbours, friends and local businesses who were unable to attend the fun day, taking the time to call at the office, visit the house and stop family members on the street (even at mass) to give their donations. We rounded up our fundraising with a great day at the fabulous Moyola Golf Club for our Golf day. Many of the businesses we work alongside daily were so helpful in sending their teams to play, sponsoring competitions and prizes.
 
Together the generosity of our staff and our local community raised a massive £25,000!!! As it’s a very special year for H & A, Hugh and Anne topped the final total up to £40,000!!! This has allowed us to present representatives from both of our charities with a cheque for £20,000 each which is incredible. From all of us at H&A, our most sincere Thank you to each and every person who helped us reach this amazing total. 😀👍👏
